Description

Oil 24x36 inches. Sorry the image is so crappy. I used gallons of galkyd medium for glazing which made it very glossy and very difficult to photograph.

very good positioning...
I like the feeling of sadness that it shows.. like he doesn't want to be in the center, to be pictured...

Although most of the shadows look good there are still a few that seem a little bit misplaced and I don't like the background.(That's just a personal feeling)

Heh.... when I used to work in gouache, I used to glaze them off with marine-varnish... It really brought out the colours, besides protecting them on exhibitions (just scrub the coffee 'n curry off em with a nailbrush when I got home :p ) Trouble was, I found in later years it made it almost impossible to photograph them without at least a little bit of flash-back... never done it since

Great lighting and palette on this one Ben. Even the darker details show quite well... Well done!
